Consultant in plastic and aesthetic surgery at the University Hospitals of the Canton of Geneva (HUCGE).
Trained and firmly rooted in Swiss medical excellence
Born in Geneva, Dr Pierre Quinodoz was trained in Swiss medical excellence at the faculty of medicine within the University Hospital of Geneva. One time head of the university clinic, he is now a consultant in plastic and aesthetic surgery at the University Hospitals of the Canton of Geneva (HUCGE).
President of the Swiss Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (SSCPRE) and holder of the European board of Plastic Surgery, he has completed numerous training courses in surgical techniques, notably in the United States, in Brazil and Australia. His work has received several distinctions, for example for his doctoral thesis in 1999 he received the prize from the Swiss Society for Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic surgery. He set up his private practice in Geneva in 2001 and works in some of the best surgical infrastructures in Switzerland.

He is also a founding member of the Swiss Society for Esthetic Surgery (SSCE) and president of the Swiss Plastic Surgery Society (SSCPRE) from 2014 to 2016.
He is representing Switzerland at ISAPS (ISAPS National Secretary for Switzerland, International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery).
Innovative Surgery and international renown
Through his representation for Switzerland on the Committee for the Standardization in Aesthetic Surgery in Europe, he is engaged in the creation of quality labelling in the field of aesthetics in Europe. The international group f.a.c.e2f@ce regularly seeks his scientific expertise on matters of facial aesthetic treatments.
Dr Pierre Quinodoz has published several articles in various scientific international journals, including the British Journal for Plastic Surgery, European Surgery Journal and Plastic Surgery annals. He has organized several conferences and regularly speaks at international conferences. He is often asked by the media to participate in society debates on plastic and aesthetic surgery practices.

A sustained humanitarian
engagement
Since his first humanitarian engagements in the favelas of Rio in the footsteps of the distinguished Brazilian surgeon Professor Ivo Pitanguy, Dr. Pierre Quinodoz has always devoted a portion of his time to the transmission of his surgical skills.
He devoted himself for 10 year as a consultant for the Swiss Cooperation Division for training surgeons in Africa.
In 2010, he created with doctors from Geneva the Association 2nd CHANCE. Its mission is to support, develop and improve training in reconstructive surgery in low- and middle-income countries.
The Association develops an innovative operational model based on a sustainable holistic approach dedicated to the transmission of precise surgical techniques, to the implementation of imperative elements to a peri operative security as well as the management of post-operative care and the rehabilitation of patients.
Since 2015, the activities of the Association have been spreading across the continent thanks to its partnerships with the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA) and with the College of Surgeons of West Africa in 2019.
Dr Quinodoz is also committed to promoting reconstructive surgery at the international level through the World Health Organization (WHO) and in the World Economic Forum (WEF) who appointed him as an expert on humanitarian health issues in 2019
